The 2009 reader's poll edition of Metroland came out today and we were voted Best Rock Band! We've been selected as one of the top 3 bands listed for this award for the past 5 years, but this is the first year we were the top vote getter! Congrats to the Velmas and Super 400. Super 400 Ten years is starting to seem like a modest amount of vamping time, judging by the number of times these guys have taken top honors. The Velmas were a close second this year, though. Thanks to everyone who came out to Northern Lights last night to see us open up for Gavin DeGraw and David Archuleta. We had a chance to speak with Gavin a little bit - a super nice guy... he laughed when we told him we've been playing one of his tunes for the past 4 years! :) And more importantly, last night was the first show with new bandmate, Bill Ketzer! Bill's actually a drummer, but we've already got one of those. Bill's coming on board to sing all those important back-ups vocals we've been missing, plus add lots of percussion, maybe some keys, and anything else he can dream up! Yeah, yeah... we know.
